# The Self-Help checklist

Running into problems with OSCAR? Try these steps :

- Check that you are on the latest version of OSCAR. At the time of writing, that is 1.8.2.

```julia-repl
julia> Oscar.versioninfo(;full=true)
OSCAR version 1.8.2
  combining:
    AbstractAlgebra.jl v0.50.2
    GAP.jl v0.17.6
    Hecke.jl v0.39.22

- If you are not on the latest version of OSCAR, or if you are unable to successfully run `using OSCAR`, try to update your packages.

```julia-repl
julia> using Pkg

julia> Pkg.update()

```
